Pinocchio, the world’s most famous little puppet, is born from the lonely wish of a poor — very poor — carpenter who longs for companionship and creates a wooden boy “who, above all, knows how to dance!”
But young Pinocchio’s curiosity to live, discover, and learn about the world becomes a magical and fantastical opportunity for Geppetto as well: while Pinocchio learns how to be a son, the carpenter must learn how to be a father.
The performance will take place in an old abandoned parish cinema hall, still haunted by the cinematic ghosts of the past. Surrounded by the wonderful music of Isao Tomita, a tender love story between father and son will unfold, where Pinocchio learns to walk and Geppetto learns to dance, inviting us to reflect on a timely question: what does it mean to be parents today, in a world of projections?
